5 Stars Inspiration 101
Great for inspiration. Fresh scrapbook ideas are always nice as I tend to suffer from “scrapbook block” at times. Very nice book

5 Stars My favorite scrapbooking idea book!
I love this book, it has become the corner stone of my collection. Cathy Zielske has taken her basic principles and spiked them with creative wit and humor. I appreciate that she has come out of her personal comfort zone and explored new ideas that may not entirely fit into the “clean&simple” method. She does not take herself to seriously and has learned to apply that to her scrapbook technique. No matter how many idea books and magazines I get I always return to Clean&Simple and now the Sequel.

5 Stars clean and beautiful
Cathy’s book inspires you in a different way than Ali Edwards. She shows you how to be very clean and straight forward. No big bla bla. Great source of inspiration to tell daily stories in a different way. Great book.

5 Stars I LOVE this book
A friend of mine recently showed an interest in scrapbooking, and this is the book I lent her. Cathy’s approach is what keeps me inspired and loving my hobby. I loved her first book, but in this one I think we get to see more of the real Cathy. She has loosened up a little bit from the first book (which is also a must read).

4 Stars This is THE book that all new scrappers should read
I’ve been scrapping for a couple of years, but have never been that pleased with my layouts, no matter how much paper and expensive embellishments I threw on there. They still look somehow “not quite right” even though I put a lot of time and effort into them. As a result, I have felt like I was behind on my pages, and got scrap guilt, compounded with not being happy with the end results anyway. I just felt like I didn’t really get what made the pages in the scrapping magazines look better than mine. Having come to scrapping from altered art, it is quite a different mindset, and one that I just didn’t really feel like I could get.

Then a friend recommended Clean and Simple – The Sequel and I finally “got” what scrapping was all about, and more importantly, how to actually DO it. Cathy makes scrapping seem as simple as it actually should be. Oh how I wish I had read this one when I started. If you only read one scrapbooking book, this is it. Cathy has a real talent for explaining both philosophy and actual “how to” in a way that is relevant and applicable.

I could only give it four stars though, instead of five, much though I would have liked to. I read this book (The Sequel) first, and since I loved it so much, I bought the first Clean and Simple book as well. Unfortunately, a lot of the ideas in The Sequel are also in Clean and Simple (the original), they are just more fully formed. If I had to pick just one, I’d pick the second book over the first one. Its genius is diluted a bit in my mind however, in knowing that it does have a lot of recycled material. It’s still a great book though!

3 Stars Beginner’s Treasure
If you are just starting the whole scrapbook phenominon this book is awesome. If you are on into your new love hobby of scrapping you may want to pass on this book. It starts from the very basic of things. If you are just looking for layouts this book has some pretty good ones.

5 Stars Excellent for the Scrapper’s reference library!
Although I have been scrapping for a few years, I found this to be a valuable resource. Don’t be fooled by the title… it’s not just for beginners. The format of the book is simple with what I call “idea launch pads”. The book gets you started when you feel stumped!

5 Stars Best Scrapbooking Techniques
I own many books on scrapbooking techniques and this is by far the best!

It is very detailed in it’s explanation. A must if you are new to scrapbooking and a great addition to your techniques if you are an experienced scrapbooker.

5 Stars Great ideas
This book inspired me to finally organize my boxes and boxes of pictures. I have three kids, and all of the past 10 years of photos were in file boxes. I hadn’t even put my wedding photos from 18 years ago in an album. This book helped me figure out some themes for albums and some completely new ways to embellish and enrich the pages. I even made each daughter her own scrapbook of baby pictures, complete with locks of hair, baby teeth and foot prints. They just love them.

4 Stars Great help for scrapping
I like this book better then the first (red cover) because it actually includes maps to work your pages with.

5 Stars Excellent source for page layouts!!!
I love all the various page layouts especially categorized by the number of pictures used for the layouts. I’m always looking for new ideas and this takes each layout and provides many alternatives. I also have the first volume and enjoy it just as much!

5 Stars A Scrapbookers Must Have
This is a must have in your scrapbooking arsenal. Each sketch has several actual pages create from that sketch. It also shows how each altering the basic sketch can really personalize the page. All sketches are sorted by the number of pictures to put on the page which makes it great reference.

I’ve had to buy this for some family and friends too, just so I can keep my copy.

5 Stars Another winner…
This is the 2nd volume of sketches for scrapbooking by Becky Higgins, and it is an excellent companion to volume 1. It has the same format – chapters of sketches for 3-5 photos, 6-7, 8-9, 10-14 and 15+ photos. You are first shown a sketch, then see several actual scrapbook pages created from the sketch – both literal translations and variations on the theme. Like the other volume, the sketches work best if you are using a scrapbook 8 1/2″ x 11″ or larger. I liked the first volume just a wee bit better as this one seems to focus on using a lot of small pictures and that isn’t normally the way my photographs turn out. But maybe this will get me to think outside the box in terms of how I take pictures.

5 Stars super ideas
este ha sido el segundo mejor libro de scrapbooking que he comprado…..vale la pena es lo mejor
