User Ratings and Reviews

4 Stars Great help for scrapping
I like this book better then the first (red cover) because it actually includes maps to work your pages with.

5 Stars Excellent source for page layouts!!!
I love all the various page layouts especially categorized by the number of pictures used for the layouts. I’m always looking for new ideas and this takes each layout and provides many alternatives. I also have the first volume and enjoy it just as much!

5 Stars A Scrapbookers Must Have
This is a must have in your scrapbooking arsenal. Each sketch has several actual pages create from that sketch. It also shows how each altering the basic sketch can really personalize the page. All sketches are sorted by the number of pictures to put on the page which makes it great reference.

I’ve had to buy this for some family and friends too, just so I can keep my copy.

5 Stars Another winner…
This is the 2nd volume of sketches for scrapbooking by Becky Higgins, and it is an excellent companion to volume 1. It has the same format – chapters of sketches for 3-5 photos, 6-7, 8-9, 10-14 and 15+ photos. You are first shown a sketch, then see several actual scrapbook pages created from the sketch – both literal translations and variations on the theme. Like the other volume, the sketches work best if you are using a scrapbook 8 1/2″ x 11″ or larger. I liked the first volume just a wee bit better as this one seems to focus on using a lot of small pictures and that isn’t normally the way my photographs turn out. But maybe this will get me to think outside the box in terms of how I take pictures.

5 Stars super ideas
este ha sido el segundo mejor libro de scrapbooking que he comprado…..vale la pena es lo mejor

The Big Picture Scrapbook Your Life and a Whole Lot More

If you’ve ever looked at your piles of pictures and felt overwhelmed, behind or uninspired, you’ll find a true friend in Stacy Julian. The Big Picture is all about helping you discover your potential, not only as a Scrapbooker, but as a creative human being.

User Ratings and Reviews

5 Stars WOW!
This is a must-read BEFORE you start scrapbooking. If you have already started, then you should read it so you get rid of that overwhelming feeling like you are always behind …

5 Stars Stacey Julian is an INSPIRATION
We all have pictures sitting in boxes, Stacey lets us know we don’t have to scrap every single picture, just take a look at simple things, special times with family and friends, and just have a good time playing with your albums. Don’t stress out with your pictures, just enjoy. Since I’ve had my book, I’ve read it twice, everytime I re-read more ideas and inspiration comes to me. This book is definitely worth the read, and your time. ENJOY!!!!

“the BIG picture” book sits on my nightstand, eery time I read it gives me more inspiration from Stacey. SHE’S MY INSPIRATION!!!

1 Star Didn’t inspire me in the least
I bought this book because I’d heard how it took the “guilt” out of being behind in scrapbooking and because it makes you look at scrapbooking in a whole new way. It did neither for me. For me, scrapbooking has always been about preserving my memories. It also gives me a creative outlet. I thought her organizational system was interesting, but it would never work for me. I may not scrap in chronological order, but I’d like my layouts to at least flow in some sort of chronological order. I also thought her layouts in the book were horrible and completely uninspiring. For a few great scrapbook idea books, I would go with Jeanette Lynton’s books, Cherish, Imagine, and Reflections.

5 Stars This Book Changed the Way I Scrapbook!
I love this book and know I will use it as a resource for many years to come. Her focus on the memory first, rather than the pictures is awesome. I’ve tended just to chronologically work on albums and wanted to get away from it for years, this album gives you lots of ways to start in a new direction. Her layouts are inspiring but mostly it is the heart that she shares. I highly recommend this book.

5 Stars Stress Free Scrapbooking- The Best!
Stacy Julian has set me free from scrapbooking chronilogically

and feeling behind. Scrapbooking can now be the hobby

I always wanted it to be, filled with joy and not feeling

guilty like I am “behind in my work”!

I wish I had this book 5 years ago, I highly recommend

this book whether you are new to this hobby or

a seasoned expert. It will change how you view your

photos and albums. Bravo Stacy!!
